As we celebrate the successful culmination of over a year of negotiations, preparation, and planning, we are delighted to announce the signing of our most significant contract to date. This partnership marks an exciting milestone in our commitment to sustainability and supports the Co-Op’s ambitious mission to achieve carbon neutral 2040.

 

Understanding The Co-Op’s 2040 Carbon Neutral Vision:

Our foremost objective was to align our products and services with the Co-Op’s vision of a low-carbon future. By comprehending their goals and aspirations, we aimed to enable them to engage their existing and new customer base in their journey towards sustainability. Educating and empowering customers to choose a retailer with a strong low-carbon ethos remains a top priority for the Co-Op, and we are proud to be a key partner in making this vision a reality.

 

Implementation of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS):

Through the implementation and maintenance of our award-winning Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), including Lighting Control Panels and HVAC Systems, we have provided the Co-Op with the ability to actively monitor and control energy consumption and lighting requirements across their entire estate. This integrated approach has not only resulted in significant cost savings but has also propelled them towards achieving their ambitious goal of becoming net carbon zero by 2040.

 

Supporting the Co-Op’s Ten Point Climate Plan To Achieve Carbon Neutral 2040:

In May 2021, the Co-Op unveiled their Ten Point Climate Plan, reaffirming their commitment to various aspects of a low-carbon future. This plan includes initiatives such as compensating for their climate impact, implementing products offered by Climate Energy Group, and sharing their knowledge and success stories throughout the food and retail sector. Through our partnership, we are proud to support and contribute to the Co-Op’s climate plan, driving positive change in the industry.

 

Investing in Our Employees and Apprenticeship Program:

As a result of this collaboration, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to reinvest in our employees and continue our successful apprenticeship program. By providing apprentices with a keen interest in our field, we equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to deploy our advanced systems.
